Street Lighting

HFR foundation pipes from Hauff-Technik enable groundwork and mast installation to be carried out independently of one another. The foundation pipe with cable entry is installed during the groundwork, while the lighting mast can be brought in at a later point, enabling potential damage during construction work to be effectively avoided. Lighting masts can even be replaced easily and without the need for groundwork.

Hauff-Technik foundation pipes are characterised by high mechanical stability which is achieved through a ribbed plastic design, low weight and consequential easy handling on site.

Foundation Pipes for Optimal Installation of Street Lighting and Similar Masts

Cost-effective solutions are crucial for installing masts for street lighting. These solutions should enable quick implementation as well. Hauff-Technik's foundation pipes are designed to meet these needs. Their lightweight construction allows for easy and rapid installation of infrastructure, ensuring efficient and reliable setup for street lighting and similar applications.

Creating New Foundations for Street Lighting

Hauff-Technik specializes in providing foundation pipes designed for the installation of masts, such as those used for street lighting and traffic signals. These pipes are constructed from weather-resistant PVC and feature a ribbed design, significantly enhancing their stability. Their lightweight nature ensures easy handling, allowing workers to set them up without the need for heavy machinery.

The wall entry of these pipes has a diameter of 85 mm, enabling the direct insertion of supply pipes with electrical cables into the foundation pipe. Additional wall entries can be easily created using standard drilling equipment, providing flexibility in routing electrical cables to adjacent masts. The positioning of the second hole is completely adjustable, allowing the cable to exit the foundation at any desired angle and height.

An additional pipe entry at the cable entry point is unnecessary. During installation, the electrical cable is initially inserted through its protective sleeve and then routed underground through the subsequent protective pipe. The sealing of the pipe occurs externally when the pipe is secured in place with concrete, which envelops both the protective sleeve of the electrical cable and the openings for the wall penetrations.

These foundation pipes offer a range of practical benefits. Excavation work is separate from the actual mast installation, allowing masts to be added later without requiring further earthworks. Additionally, the installation of these PVC foundation pipes is considerably quicker, more cost-effective, and resource-efficient compared to traditional concrete foundations. Their lightweight design also facilitates the transport of large quantities with minimal effort.

Hauff-Techniks foundation pipes are available in various lengths and diameters, enabling tailored stability according to the existing substrate and planned mast specifications. The pipes come in lengths ranging from 600 mm to 1600 mm, with three different inner diameters of 290 mm, 390 mm, and 490 mm. The outer diameters measure 335 mm, 450 mm, and 560 mm at their widest points.

Effortless Renovation of Existing Street Lighting with Foundation Pipes

Hauff-Technik's foundation pipes make the renovation of damaged street lighting poles a straightforward task. The replacement can be completed swiftly, allowing for the prompt reactivation of the lighting system. Their lightweight construction significantly eases the process, enabling the effortless replacement of individual poles.

Additionally, if foundation pipes from Hauff-Technik are already installed, replacing the poles can be done without any excavation work. The poles can be easily exchanged while keeping the existing pipes securely in the ground. This approach is both efficient and cost-effective, minimizing disruption to the surrounding environment.

Installing a foundation pipe from Hauff-Technik can be completed in just four simple steps

Installing a foundation pipe from Hauff-Technik is a straightforward process that involves four simple steps. First, you start by excavating the ground. Depending on the soil conditions, it might be necessary to place a lean concrete slab as a foundation. Next, position the pipe in the excavated area, ensuring that the top edge of the pipe is about five to ten centimeters below the ground level. In the third step, you will run the electrical cables through the designated entry point in the foundation pipe. Finally, secure the pipe by filling the excavation with lean concrete up to about two-thirds of its height. Use a spirit level to make sure the pipe is perfectly aligned. Once the concrete has set, the pipe will be ready for the installation of the street lighting pole.

The Optimal Accessories for Every Foundation Pipe

Hauff-Technik offers the perfect accessories for its foundation pipes, with a primary focus on specially designed PE caps. These caps fit snugly into the pipes, effectively preventing dirt and debris from contaminating the foundation during the construction phase. Available in a range of sizes, the caps are tailored to correspond with the various diameters of the pipes, ensuring a secure and reliable seal throughout the installation process.
